I have been involved with the Entertainment Industry for 36 in various jobs ranging from Actor, Stage Manager, Stage Technician and eventually settling into the role of Technical Director from 1993 to the present. I have always been attracted to Higher Education as means to produce meaningful Theatre and to help educate and inspire the future of both educational and the entertainment industries. Over the course of my career I have found myself pushing the boundaries of the expected and constantly looking for new, different and exciting ways to teach. I have deep dived into the use of technology for the purpose of augmenting the educational experience, utilized project based learning as a cornerstone of my teaching philosophy, and actively worked to breakdown barriers to find effective modalities of teaching from different disciplines. I found that the College of Business, especially in the entrepreneurship program fit nicely with my teaching style. In the end I was labeled by a colleague as an educational entrepreneur to which I will gladly take that title.
